This 600 sq ft. ceramic tile mural is located at the Willa D. Johnson Recreation Center in Oklahoma City, OK. Designed with project partners Jarica Walsh and Quiquia Calhoun.
This carved, interactive, wooden mural was created to commemorate the centennial of the Tulsa Race Massacre as a part of a collaboration with poet Tony B and filmmaker Derick Tinsley for Greenwood Art Project. Each panel is 4’ x 8,’ utilizes magnetic elements for interaction, and is mobile. Textiles used are from Ghana and Kenya.
